Markus Eller, born Martin Eller on June 13, 1966, in Wangen im Allgäu, is a German Benedictine monk and abbot of Kloster Scheyern. He completed his carpenter apprenticeship before entering the monastery in 1993, later studying theology in Salzburg. He was ordained a priest in 2000 and served as a pastor in various locations. Elected as abbot of Kloster Scheyern in 2008, he became abbot administrator of Rohr Abbey in 2010. In 2021, he was elected Abbot Præses of the Bavarian Benedictine Congregation and resumed his role at Rohr Abbey.
