Felber has a background in theology and law, and he is recognized for his accessible yet informative reporting on legal matters. Post-retirement, he wrote a weekly column for the NZZ am Sonntag and currently contributes to the online magazine Republik. He co-founded Santschi&Felber JustizKommunikation GmbH in 2015. Felber actively critiques Swiss judicial proceedings.
