Markus Windisch is a former Italian biathlete born on May 12, 1984, in Bruneck. He began his biathlon career in 1996 and has been part of the Italian national team since 2001. Windisch achieved notable success in the European Cup and at various junior championships. His best performance at the World Cup included a 13th place in 2007. He represented Italy at the 2010 Winter Olympics, finishing 31st in the individual event. Additionally, he secured a second place with his team in the 2011 World Cup in Antholz.
