Markvard Armin Sellevoll was a Norwegian geophysicist notable for his contributions to the field of seismology. He served as a docent in seismology at the University of Bergen from 1961 to 1975, before becoming a professor from 1975 until 1990. He played a significant role in the establishment of NORSAR and was a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Sellevoll was born on November 14, 1923, and passed away on March 22, 2020.
