Marshall "Eddie" Conway was an American black nationalist and a prominent figure in the Baltimore chapter of the Black Panther Party. Born on April 23, 1946, he was convicted in 1971 for the murder of a police officer under controversial circumstances. His trial was marked by multiple irregularities. After spending years in prison, he was released on parole in 2014 when an appellate court found that his jury had received improper instructions during the trial. Conway passed away on February 13, 2023.
