Mart Arold, also known by his pen name Leo Levala, was an Estonian physicist and publicist born on August 12, 1944, in Saare vald. He graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical Institute in 1973 and was involved in local government elections for the Isamaaliit party in 1999 and 2002. Arold was a member of the IRL from 1999 to 2008. In 1993, he founded the Tungal publishing house, focusing on publishing works about communists and their crimes, including several compilations on local communist activities.
