Mart Dayne McChesney (1954-1999) was an American actor notable for roles in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' as Armus and Sheliak. He was born in Abilene, Texas, and used heavy prosthetics for his performances. McChesney also appeared in the horror film 'Girls Nite Out.' His portrayal of Armus was reused in a later episode of 'Star Trek.' He passed away in 1999 at the age of 44 due to AIDS-related complications.
