Martinus Josephus Henrica van de Ven was a Dutch politician associated with the KVP and later the CDA. He worked for municipalities including Tilburg, Leiden, and Goirle, becoming the municipal secretary of Goirle in 1968. He served as the mayor of Nieuw-Ginneken from 1974 and was appointed mayor of Etten-Leur in 1988 until his retirement in April 1999. Additionally, he acted as interim mayor of Reusel-De Mierden from May 2002 for nearly a year. He passed away on May 8, 2013, at the age of 79.
