Márta Rédner, originally named Márta Gutmann, was a Hungarian Jewish photographer and photojournalist born on December 15, 1909, in Budapest, and she passed away on February 12, 1991. She was awarded the prestigious Béla Balázs Prize, the highest Hungarian state recognition for creators of films and television producers. Her husband, Miklós Rédner, who was also a photographer, perished in the Holocaust.
