Marta Rodrigues Sousa de Brito Costa, born on June 20, 1959, in Aiquara, is a Brazilian politician and teacher affiliated with the Workers' Party (PT). She holds a degree in Letters from UCSAL and a specialization in Public Policies from UNICAMP. Marta is currently serving her third consecutive term as a councilor in the City Council of Salvador, where she has been recognized as the only female parliamentarian awarded the Woman of Distinction award in Salvador.
