Marta Rovira Martínez is a Catalan sociologist and writer born in 1969 in Banyoles. She holds a PhD in sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Rovira has worked as a researcher, analyst, public policy consultant, and lecturer. She presided over the Fundació Congrés de Cultura Catalana and later became its director. She was also vice president of the Advisory Council for the promotion of a Civic and Social Forum for the Constituent Debate. Her writing includes numerous opinion articles, essays, and books on Spanish society and Catalan current affairs.
