Marta Sudraba, born on March 27, 1975, is a celebrated Latvian cellist. She graduated from Emīla Dārziņa Rīgas mūzikas vidusskola in 1993 and later from the Latvian Music Academy in 1997. She furthered her studies with S. Popova in London and obtained her master's degree from the Basel Music Academy in 2000. Sudraba is the concertmaster of the cello group in the Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra and a member of the Kremer trio. She resides in Vienna, Austria, and is married to an Austrian violinist.
