Martha Isabel Ruiz Corzo, popularly known as 'Pati', is a Mexican environmentalist born on January 17, 1953. She founded the Sierra Gorda Ecological Group in 1987, which plays a crucial role in grassroots conservation efforts in the Sierra Gorda region of central Mexico. Her impactful work has been recognized internationally, leading to her being named a Champion of the Earth by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2013.
