Anna Märtha Ingeborg Knöös was a Swedish painter born on April 18, 1902, in Lund and died on November 18, 1976, in the same city. She was the daughter of parish priest August Alfred Knöös and Olga Teodora Fjellander, and sister to Helge Knöös. Märtha studied at the Skånska målarskolan in Malmö between 1950 and 1954, as well as under Conrad Kickert in Paris and during study trips to Italy. Her art includes portraits, figures, landscapes, street and beach scenes, still lifes in oil or pastel, and stained glass for church windows.
