Martha Van Coppenolle was a notable Belgian artist and book illustrator, recognized as one of the most prolific Flemish illustrators by the Antwerp Museum of the Literary Arts. Active between 1930 and 1960, she produced over 40 illustrations for novels and children's books. Her work drew influence from the Russian Avant-Garde Movement while also embracing vibrant fairy tale motifs. Alongside illustration, she worked in graphic design, ceramic sculpture, oil painting, and furniture design. In the later years of her life, she gained international acclaim as a stained glass artist.
