Martí Roig i Coromina was a Benedictine monk of the Abbey of Montserrat, born in Barcelona on April 5, 1937. Initially studying medicine, he joined the monastery in 1959. He made simple profession in 1960 and solemn profession in 1963. For 24 years, he served as the infirmarian and later managed various responsibilities including security and gardening. As a priest, he supported a community of Carmelite sisters and served as a counselor for Montserrat workers. He passed away in Barcelona on March 6, 2023.
