Martin Stanley Buckmaster, 3rd Viscount Buckmaster (1921–2007), was a distinguished British diplomat and member of the House of Lords. Educated at Stowe School and having served in World War II, he joined the Foreign Office post-war. His significant postings included roles in Abu Dhabi, Libya, Uganda, Beirut, and Yemen. He became Viscount in 1974, advocating for Middle Eastern issues and public morality. A committed Christian, he was involved in the Conservative Family Campaign and supported Christian broadcasting. He was appointed OBE in 1979.
