He is best known for founding the Latin Percussion company and has invented numerous percussion instruments utilized in Latin, Jazz, and World music genres. In recognition of his contributions, Cohen has been awarded eight patents. Alongside his inventive work, he is also an accomplished photographer, having documented thousands of Latin and jazz musicians and performances through photography, videos, and audio recordings.
