In 2010, he served as an advisor to Environment Minister Pavel Drobil, who resigned due to corruption allegations. In August 2011, Knetig was accused of indirect bribery while attempting to secure illegal funding for the ODS party. Despite repeated charges and court interventions, the evidence was insufficient to prove his guilt.
