Martín Marciales Moncada, also known as Martín Marciales, was a Venezuelan visionary, entrepreneur, and philanthropist born on January 18, 1912. He played a significant role in the development of San Cristóbal during the 20th century and was uniquely a successful entrepreneur without a political career. Noted by President Velásquez as a 'rarely seen prophet', his life was documented in a three-volume biography by historian Luis Hernández Contreras. He was one of the few to receive the prestigious Order Francisco de Miranda, granted personally by President Velásquez.
