Martin Parr (born May 23, 1952) is a British photojournalist and photography collector known for his intimate portrayal of modern life with a humorous anthropological perspective. His work focuses on documenting social classes in England and the broader Western world's wealth. Key projects include 'The Non-Conformists' (1975-1982), 'Last Resort' (1983-1985), and 'Small World' (1987-1994). He has published around 40 individual photography books and participated in about 80 exhibitions worldwide. Parr founded the Martin Parr Foundation in 2014, which encompasses an archive and collection of British and Irish photography.
