Martin Schwab is a Dutch actor and director of Indonesian descent, born on March 29, 1962. He is best known for his role as Ab Keizer in the police series Baantjer. Although he considered quitting the show in 2002, he chose to stay on due to the departure of co-star Marian Mudder, as the series required two characters to continue. In 2005, Schwab transitioned to directing, making his directorial debut with Baantjer and later directing Flikken Maastricht. His brother, Huib Schwab, is a philosopher and lecturer at Montessori Lyceum Amsterdam.
