Known for his skilled violin playing, he received the Zornmärket silver in 1975 and gold in 2002. He has lived in Jämtland since 1980 and teaches at a cultural school. Involved in political debates, he faced backlash for racist remarks, leading to his resignation from the Sweden Democrats and his exclusion from the Teacher's Union. Stensby later rejoined the party.
