Maria Martina Clason, born April 23, 1938, in Stockholm, is a Swedish designer, artist, and illustrator. Growing up in an artistic family, she studied at Beckmans design school and co-founded Sweden's first pop clothing store, Gul & Blå, in 1966. After her divorce, she moved abroad, spending 18 years in London, creating vibrant paintings and showcasing them in exhibitions. Clason later settled in Tuscany, Italy, and has been living part-time in Costa Rica and southern France since 1998. She is the daughter of architect Gustaf Clason and artist Märtha Bolin-Clason.
