Martine Époque was a French-born Canadian dance educator and choreographer known for her contributions to contemporary dance in Quebec. Born in 1942, she studied music and dance in France before moving to Canada in 1967 to develop a dance program at Université de Montréal. She founded the dance company Le Groupe Nouvelle Aire and helped establish significant dance initiatives in Montreal, including Agora de la danse. Époque received notable awards, published her memoir in 1999, and co-directed a short film presented at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014.
