Martti Halmesmäki, born on October 25, 1966, is a Finnish discus thrower. He won the Finnish Championships in 1993 in Mikkeli with a throw of 56.72 meters, securing silver in 1991 and bronze in 1992. Halmesmäki also achieved indoor championship gold in 1993. His personal best throw of 61.02 meters was recorded in May 1992 in Raahe. He participated in the Universiade in the United States in 1993, finishing in tenth place. Halmesmäki represented Lapuan Virkiää during his career and retired after the 1996 season.
