Marty Cooksey, born Martha Cooksey on July 18, 1954, is a former American long-distance runner. She achieved notable successes in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s, including winning the Mission Bay Marathon and Avon Marathon in 1978, and becoming US Champion after finishing second in the New York City Marathon. Cooksey also secured victories in the Hang Ten Marathon and excelled internationally, competing in events like the World Cross Country Championships and the Pan American Games where she won the 10,000 m race.
