Marvin E. 'Marv' Diemer was an American businessman and legislator born on May 30, 1924, in New Auburn, Minnesota. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and graduated from Drake University in 1950. Diemer worked as a public accountant in Cedar Falls, Iowa, before entering politics. As a member of the Republican Party, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1979 until 1991. He passed away on April 23, 2013, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
