From December 21, 1982, to May 17, 1984, he and his crew circumnavigated the globe aboard the Globe Star, a 36-foot boat, for 511 days at sea. Relying solely on natural cues like the sun, stars, and ocean currents, Creamer's journey stands out in the annals of sailing. In honor of his remarkable achievement, Rowan University established the Marvin Creamer Scholarship Fund.
