Marvin E. Christianson Sr. was an American farmer and politician born on January 12, 1928, in Halstad, Minnesota. He graduated from Halstad High School and worked as a dairy farmer and cattle dealer. Christianson served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives as a Democrat from 1967 until his death in 1969. He passed away from cancer in a Minneapolis hospital. Following his death, his wife, Donna Jean Christianson, was elected to succeed him in a special election for his seat.
