Marvin Alton Melville, born on February 15, 1935, is a retired American alpine skier known for his participation in the 1956 and 1960 Winter Olympics, in which he placed 22nd in the downhill event in 1960. He was successful in winning the 1959 NCAA championships in both slalom and combined events. Alongside skiing, he worked in construction to fund his winter competitions. Post-retirement, Melville served in the army and later focused on children's skiing via his ski school and coaching the University of Utah ski team.
