Marvin Pifer Sr. was an American race car driver born on March 13, 1928, in Adrian, Michigan. He began racing under the name of his brother Aldon and attempted to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 in 1956 and 1960, but did not succeed. Primarily competing in sprint cars, he was also a car dealer selling Triumphs. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1963, he became wheelchair-bound in 1968 and had to sell his dealership in 1972. Pifer passed away at the age of 46 on May 4, 1974.
