Marvin Stamm is an American jazz trumpeter, born on May 23, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee. He began playing the trumpet at the age of twelve and has had a diverse career in jazz, playing with notable orchestras including Stan Kenton from 1961 to 1963 and later with Woody Herman. From 1966 to 1972, he performed with the orchestras of Thad Jones and Mel Lewis and has collaborated with a variety of renowned musicians such as Oliver Nelson, Gábor Szabó, Randy Weston, Paul Desmond, and Kenny Burrell.
