Marwan Adil Hamza was an Iraqi poet born in Baghdad on December 27, 1965. He pursued his education in Arabic language at the University of Mosul, later becoming a professor of Arabic. Hamza was known for his contributions to both column poetry and prose poetry. His first poetry collection, 'Tranquil Songs of Stuffed Birds,' was published in 2009. He was active in the Iraqi Writers Union, where he also led the Poetry Club, and participated in numerous literary festivals before his death on April 22, 2021, at the age of 56.
