Mary Bea Porter-King is an accomplished American professional golfer, born on December 4, 1949, in Everett, Washington. She played four sports at Arizona State University and turned professional in 1973, joining the LPGA Tour where she won once in 1975. Notably, she saved a drowning boy during a qualifying round for the 1988 Samaritan Turquoise Classic. After relocating to Hawaii in 1989, she co-founded the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association and received several accolades, including her induction into the Arizona State and Hawaii Golf Halls of Fame.
