Mary Anderson Grierson was a Welsh-born Scottish botanical artist and illustrator, known for her contributions to the field of botanical illustration. She trained in watercolour from a young age and served as a flight officer in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force. After her military service, she worked in public relations and later became the resident artist at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. Grierson illustrated numerous books and received several awards, including the prestigious Victoria Medal of Honour. She retired in 1972 to focus on private commissions.
