Masahiro Yoshimura was a Japanese swimmer born on October 28, 1936, in Ehime Prefecture. He competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, where he won a silver medal in the 200-meter breaststroke. In a competitive final, Yoshimura narrowly secured his silver medal, finishing just a tenth of a second ahead of Soviet swimmer Charis Junitschew. His performance was notable, particularly for the close race with his compatriot Masaru Furukawa, who won the gold medal.
