Born on April 8, 1970, in Hakui, Ishikawa, he graduated from Kanazawa University and Tokyo Medical and Dental University, where he earned his M.D. in 2005. He held various prestigious positions, including research fellow at Harvard Medical School, lecturer at Jichi Medical University, and visiting lecturer at Stanford University. Nishida has been involved in sleep research and now serves as the director of the Waseda University Sleep Research Institute and associate director of the Health Center.
