Masami Kurumada is a Japanese manga artist, best known for creating the popular series Saint Seiya, as well as Ring ni Kakero and B't X. Born on December 6, 1953, in Tsukishima, Tokyo, he began his career as an assistant before debuting with Sukeban Arashi in 1974. He gained significant fame with Ring ni Kakero and later achieved worldwide success with Saint Seiya, which introduced the subgenre of armored knights. His works have led to adaptations in anime, contributing to his influence in manga culture.
