After working as a graphic designer for 17 years, he founded the Kansai DTP Association and served as its first president. Morikawa became a freelancer in 1993, gaining popularity with the free material site 'G-TOOL' in 1996. He has contributed to web accessibility in Japan and established the Japan Web Association to enhance the quality of Japanese web content.
