Matia Kasaija, born on May 28, 1944, is a Ugandan politician currently serving as the Minister of Finance in the Ugandan government since March 1, 2015. He succeeded Maria Kiwanuka in this role. Previously, he served as Minister of State for Finance (Planning) from May 27, 2011, to February 28, 2015, and as Minister of State for Internal Affairs from June 1, 2006, to May 2011. He is also an elected member of parliament representing Buyanja County in the Kyabuhungiro district.
