Matthew D. Orwig is an esteemed American attorney with a distinguished career in the Department of Justice, having served under three presidents and five attorneys general. Appointed by President George W. Bush, he was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas from 2001 to 2007. Orwig has held leadership positions in prominent law firms, including managing partner at SNR Denton and later joining Jones Day in 2012 as a partner. He became a founding partner of Winston & Strawn’s Dallas office in 2017 and recently retired in January 2024.
