He began his career at the Reynella Football Club before moving to Glenelg and later playing for the Adelaide Crows in the AFL. After his time in the AFL, Golding returned to Glenelg, where he played 96 games, later joining Edwardstown until 2010, and finally signing with Noarlunga.
