Matti Heikki Kontio (April 27, 1948 – September 9, 2017) was a Finnish kantele player, composer, lyricist, and arranger. He is remembered for children's songs such as 'Pieni ankanpoikanen' (Little Duckling), 'Saku sammakko' (Saku the Frog), and 'Lähdetään Korkeasaareen' (Let's Go to Korkeasaari). He studied under Martti Pokela and was married to music doctor Sinikka Kontio, née Järvinen. He was awarded an artist pension in 2014.
