Matti Henrik Rantasila (1922–2004) was a Finnish war writer from Tampere. He volunteered in the Winter War and later attended officer school, becoming the youngest second lieutenant in Finland. Throughout the Continuation War, he served as a team leader and substitute company commander, earning significant accolades for his actions. After the war, he worked in various roles while participating in veteran organizations. Gaining recognition as a writer after retirement, he published his memoirs starting in 1980. He is also the uncle of hockey player Juha Rantasilan and actress Mari Rantasilan.
