Matti Kyösti Salomäki, born on October 17, 1968, in Lapua, is the Bishop of the Diocese of Lapua since 2022. He graduated with a Master's degree in Theology and was ordained as a priest in 1994. Salomäki served as a priest in the Pielavesi Congregation from 1994 to 2012, and since 2012 has held the position of archdeacon at the Lapua Cathedral Parish. He has been a clerical representative in the Church Assembly since 2016.
