U Maung Maung Kha was a Myanmar politician who served as Prime Minister from 1977 to 1988 under General Ne Win. He graduated from a military academy during the Japanese occupation of Burma and was appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Industry in 1962 after Ne Win's coup. He became the Minister of Industry in 1972 and took over as Prime Minister in 1977, but he was ousted amid civil unrest in 1988. He passed away on April 30, 1995, in Rangoon.
