Maxie L. McFarland was a notable U.S. Government Defense Senior Executive who served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence for the U.S. Army's Training and Doctrine Command. He transitioned to the Sierra Nevada Corporation as the Executive Vice President for Strategic Planning in June 2011. He was recognized posthumously in 2014 with induction into the Military Intelligence Hall of Fame. McFarland passed away on November 8, 2013, and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
