Md. Shahriar Alam is a Bangladeshi politician and the current Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was born on March 1, 1970, in Chittagong. Starting his career in the textile industry in 1995, he transitioned into politics in 1997 by joining the Bangladesh Awami League. He was first elected to the Bangladesh Parliament in 2008 and re-elected in 2014. He studied at Dhaka College and Dhaka University.
