Mechislav Selitsky was a Latvian Soviet footballer who played as a defender. Born on February 25, 1925, in the Kraslava district of Latvia, he had a distinguished sports career and was recognized as a Master of Sports in the USSR in 1955. In addition to his playing career, he also served as a referee of all-union category starting December 18, 1972. His contributions to the sport are remembered in Latvia, where he passed away in 1993.
